You might try the Virtualization Cookbooks. The most recent are for SLES
10 and for RHEL 5. See the top two entries http://linuxvm.org/present/
They were originally written to "jump start" a zLinux pilot project (they
have been Redbooks in the past and these two versions may be upated for
z/VM 5.3 into new Redbooks). I will try to answer any questions.

There is another good book, "Getting Started With Linux", which is an IBM
z/VM Publication (See Dave Jones' append for details).
