First of all, I would like to extend my most sincerest thank you's to all
of you who replied to my request. I appreciate all of your help. The
company I work for hires a lot of contractors so if they decided on a
staff reduction it doesn't come across as a reduction in force (no
layoffs). I've been here for 5+ years doing various z/OS systems
functions. I thought I'd have fun learning a little VM and zLinux.
Unfortuantely, they told some of us that our contracts would not be
renewed in January. My number came up. :( Well, I could have retired a
couple of years ago, but this old dinosaur thought he'd miss all the fun
of installing software and PTFs (hah! I have the deed to the Brooklyn
Bridge if anyone s interested). So, I decided to no longer look for
additional contracts and go the way of the other dinosaurs. Besides, I
think this made my wife happy, we can now spend a month on the beach
somwhere warm! Best of the holidays to you,Eric p.s. Bob, please be
careful of what you wish for!
