No, not really.  Remember that partitions 2 and 3 need an extra cylinder
to allow for a label.

HOWEVER, since we're on the LINUX-390 list, I don't think you can just
arbitrarily split up a Linux filesystem like that.  In fact, very few
systems would be happy with such a disk carving.

By the way, you can also use FLASHCOPY between minidisks that overlay
different parts of the volume.
