It is not possible to switch between the old and new behaviour and the new behaviour is also the correct one. Before the change, setting an adapter offline and then online again would change the SCSI host for the FCP adapter, e.g. from host0 to host1. This change caused problems with multipathing setups with disk and tape. With the change, the registered SCSI host stays the same which is correct approach: The FCP adapter is still the same, so the SCSI host has also to stay the same. The assumption from the hwup and hwdown scripts is wrong, that there will be a kernel event for a new SCSI host, when the hardware did not change. -- Christof Schmitt ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
