At the second level z/VM, define and start your virtual reader. Let say 000C is its virtual reader, then SET RDEV 000C TYPE RDR START 000C Now from your userid at first level, create the file you want to submit (I think it must be Fixed 80) and prefix it with the line: USERID 2nd_level_userid Then issue: SPOOL PUN TO 2nd_level_zvm_guest RDR PUN fn ft fm (NOH You should now see the file in the reader of your vm userid at second level.
