When I run a series of tracerte commands like the one below on z/VM to a zLinux machine. It get lost packets on the 7th 12th and every 5th commands after that.
TRACERTE mylinuxmachine (TRY 1 NON We are running SLES 10 SP1 under z/VM 5.2 in a Z9 LPAR It does not matter how the machines are networked. All are high speed with ms response times. The simplest configuration I tested it on Linux shares an OSA adapter with VM so IP traffic does not leave the box. Reversing it doing a traceroute from Linux to VM works just fine. T.I.A for any help on this. Bruce /* reproduce lost packets */ arg sysid .
