I remember that in early versions of SuSE that used the /etc/chandev.conf it required a couple of extra parmeters when going to a qdio guest lan.

Funny, but I installed Redhat 5.1 > and had no issues with the parm file. I recall seeing this before, but I don't remember it actually stopping the devices from working. I just assumed it was some sort of very minor bug in the driver complaining about something that it shouldn't have. What happens after the message comes out?
