ICKDSF on VM can do it too. If you're cloning, though, you *want* the volume ids that the guest sees to be the same, so that they truly ARE clones. The only way to do that is to give the guest minidisks rather than full volumes. Losing 150K of disk space vs having to hand-hack each guest, or figure out how to automate it -- it's a no brainer. Disk is cheap; people aren't.
