In a follow-on to that, 
http://blogs.oracle.com/jblog/2008/04/modernisation_mainframes_and_e.html , 
someone asks a very similar question in a comment.  The author says "...i was a 
bit ahead of myself there!"

My understanding (3rd or 4th hand at best) is that the next certification from 
Oracle for Linux on System z might be somewhere in 1Q2009 or so.
