'ifconfig' should show you all of the active interfaces.  Perhaps yours
isn't showing up with that commend because it isn't started?   Check the
definition in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-hsi0 (or hsi1) to
insure that it's defined properly.  Also, don't forget to verify that
there is a line in /etc/modprobe.conf:

alias eth0 qeth
alias hsi0 qeth
alias hs1i qeth
