Gary, Check ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/storage/devdrvr/Linux/lin_tape_source-lin_taped/ The install.readme contains instructions on the source build of the driver and the lin_taped is right there. In ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/storage/devdrvr/Linux/archive/ you will also find prebuilt versions for SLES9 and early SLES10. But they stopped prebuilding as there were too many variants (I think). Don't use IBMtape, it is ancient.
