Florian,
Have you tried running the s390 switch command then building it?
try this:
uname -m
s390 bash
uname -m
You see it will switch you from 64 bit s390x environment to 31 bit, s390
(notice
no x). This worked for me getting DB2 Connect 31 Bit version to work on
s390x.

Dear all,
For this problem have some new information:
Since some days the Debian distribution LENNY is avaliable. Also for s390.
(Unfortunately no 64bit s390x).
However, with the MONO environment provided in LENNY, dekiwiki (
http://www.mindtouch.com/Community) is working correctly on s390!
dekiwiki:~# mono --version
Mono JIT compiler version 1.9.1 (tarball)
Copyright (C) 2002-2007 Novell, Inc and Contributors. www.mono-project.com
TLS: __thread
GC: Included Boehm (with typed GC)
SIGSEGV: normal
Notifications: epoll
Architecture: s390
Disabled: none
That means:
With none of the MONO packages comming from SLES 10 SP2 I can make the
dekiwiki application running. I tried to build several versions of MONO up
to 2.0.x from the sources and none of them work correctly with dekiwiki.
The
.NET application part crashes immediately with various errors. It seems
that
I cannot run that application on SLES 10 on s390 at all.
With Debian it is working. The difference is that Debian supports only
31bit
while SLES 10 is 64bit. So maybe this has something to do with it.
Unfortunately I was not able to install MONO 1.9 as it is on the Novell ftp
server. And the version for SLES 10 is also not working.
Maybe somebody could help me with this since I would like to have dekiwiki
working under SLES 10.
Thank you very much in advance.
