I don't think the problem here is support. I think the release notes say that SLES 11 does not even run on non z9/z10 machines. I fully understand that it is difficult an expensive to hang on to older processors and keep on supporting them but you don't have to keep them on maintenance agreements either. If the z800 that you do testing on died, you go out and get a new one for less than the cost of a PC.
