The cause of this error is likely earlier in your console log. If you have your console spooled, you will probably see something that might give a clue. I suspect that for one reason or another, your LVM volume group is not being activated, hence your logical volumes don't show up. -snip- > I do need to have EVMS or lvm for the file > systems and would prefer EVMS. You may want to rethink that. The last I heard, EVMS is not being actively developed by IBM any longer, and no one else seems interested in picking up the slack.
