That's not correct.  A striped LV can be resized, there just has to be given 
enough new extents across the same number of PVs as there are stripes.  So, if 
your LV is striped across 4 PVs, and you want to expand it by 20 extents, there 
have to be a minimum of 5 free extents available across 4 different PVs in the 
volume group.
