The iso image contains a hierarchical filesystem so it needs to be restored to a hierarchical filesystem. Try loading it into HFS (as you would into BFS on z/VM). Beware: When you upload to z/OS, be sure to do it from a Linux or UNIX system. Linux CDs or DVDs will very likely contain the ISO 9660 Rock Ridge extensions (POSIX stuff) that Windows historically hasn't recognized. (Maybe Vista is better?) Example: If a symbolic link is used, Windows will just transfer a zero-length file or the name of the linked file rather than linked file's contents. The upload works, but the install doesn't.
