As an educational exercise, I'm trying to install SLES 11 into what looks
like an LPAR (actually Hercules with no VM system to help out). I get into
the install process and to the point where it asks about the install media
source, which I specify as Network. Then it asks for the method, and I
specify NFS (have also tried FTP). Then for the network type I specify
Ethernet. It works a few seconds and comes back and reports "No network
device found" and "Load a network module first".
I have a LCS interface defined and have verified that it is working
properly. The install manual shows the use of LCS in some parmfile
examples, so I'm guessing that LCS should still be "available" if perhaps
not fully "supported".
Am I doing something wrong, or is something missing in SLES 11??

Thanks
Mike
