I'm testing the SLES11 built, did anyone encounter the following error with regards to selecting the network device?
Could not set device 0.0.0643 online *** network configuration script failed (error code 2560) *** No network device found. Load a network module first. *** No repository found. The network choices presented for SLES11 are alot different than that of a SLES10 or SLES9 build (the samples below taken from the same LPAR). Another thing I noticed when selecting the network device for SLES11 - are the numbers at the end of each "IBM OSA EXPRESS NETWORK" card, it shows numbers we would normally input on the read/write/data device addresses. SLES11 Choose the network device. 1) IBM OSA Express Network card (0.0.0643) 2) IBM OSA Express Network card (0.0.0644) 3) IBM OSA Express Network card (0.0.0645) 4) IBM IUCV SLES10 network choices Please select the type of your network device. 1) OSA-2 or OSA Express 2) Hipersockets -------------------- 3) Channel To Channel (CTC) 4) ESCON 5) Inter-User Communication Vehicle (IUCV) Ray Cabanlit Brown Brothers Harriman Operating Systems - NJ [email protected] Phone: 201-418-6482 Cell: 201-988-1389 *************************** IMPORTANT NOTE***************************** The opinions expressed in this message and/or any attachments are those of the author and not necessarily those of Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., its subsidiaries and affiliates ("BBH").
