I've downloaded and installed SMT (Subscription Management Tool) and am
configuring it. I've read the doc and faq and not found the answer to what
the different repositories are that are available.

For example for SLES 11 there are these repositories: SLES11-Extras,
SLES11-Pool, SLES11-Updates and these for SLES10-SP2 plus
SLES11-SP2-Online.

I'd like to know what these repositories are and what a suggested use for
each would be. I'd just as soon not download (mirror) a repository if I
don't need to.

Also the doc mentions commands which don't exist in the z flavor of SMT
such as smt-repositories - in fact I can't find any of the smt-xxxx
commands.

I never guess. It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data.
Insensibly one
begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.
