Agreed - very interesting... though to me, mostly as a distribution vehicle -- whatever does the install of the binaries would hopefully extract out the 'other platform' portions before laying down the code on 'this platform' -- that could be part of the install rpm, perhaps (elf extract). I wouldn't want code for other platforms bloating my filesystems -- unless I was going to actually share executables across platforms via a shared disk (which is an interesting idea too!).
