Did /etc/fstab get modified? My guess would be that something in the disk box got modified enough to change the UUID of the disk. Remember that SLES10 defaults to that idiotic by-id nonsense, so any changes to the box -- which I suspect included updating the microcode when the new paths were installed -- will screw you for by-ID. Ray, Boot the starter system kernel using the SLES10 exec provided with the starter system. Bail out of the install and grab the sanedasdupdate tool from http://download.sinenomine.net/sane-dasd-update/ and convert the by-id thing to by-path. I would bet it will boot after that. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
