We have TSM server running on z/OS with Linux guests and Oracle databases being backed up to it. Both z/OS and z/VM (only used to virtualize Linux) are using OSPF for routing. The Linux guests are on guestlans.
We're tossing around the idea of using hipersockets and jumbo frames for the backups. I'm guessing that this would require the addition of another guestlan on a separate subnet and the addition of another adapter for the Linux guest on that subnet, but past that I'm feeling a bit lost. How am I going to route only TSM traffic to that adapter?
