We are running CSL-WAVE in production. Before running zLinux we did not have
z/VM. I would agree that it helps  a lot if you do not have VM skills - both
on the support and operations side. However, a couple of us did have zVM
experience from previous jobs. Even VM old timers found WAVE easier to use
than CMS.

Our experience with  CSL-Wave is a very good one.
