Subject: Sorting in Linux
Sent by: Linux on 390 Port <[email protected]>
We are considering a sort product to replace the Linux sort, but we need to
get a handle on how much sorting we do.
All of our SUSE 10 Linux guests (under VM 5.4 on z10-BC IFLs) are servers
and any programs that run on them would call sort.
We do not have any typical batch sort operations that run on Linux.
Does anyone have a way of tracking how much the Linux sort is called?
Thanks,
Roger
