I am trying to install RHEL 5.4 and during the initial CMS boot I am
getting this:

....
checking if image is initramfs...it isn't (bad gzip magic numbers); looks
like an initrd
....
RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0
No filesystem could mount root, tried: ext2 iso9660
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block
(1,0)
01: HCPGSP2629I The virtual machine is placed in CP mode due to a SIGP stop
from
 CPU 00.
00: HCPGIR450W CP entered; disabled wait PSW 00020001 80000000 00000000
0010C04A

The kernel and initrd files look good - they are the same size in blocks,
etc. as I've used on another system without problems.

Thanks for any advice

Lionel
