Lee, Your correct, there "was" a statement saying that point to point was only supported/recommended for development/test environments. That has changed somewhat now. Point-to-Point is supported on z9 or later and requires RHEL4U7, RHEL5, SLES9SP4, SLES10, SLES11. On qualified devices only, not all devices have been tested in a point to point configuration and are therefore not supported. There is no NPIV support with a Point-to-Point configuration.
