Hello,
I can't get OSA to share the connection between multiple LPARs. The
first LPAR is running debian, lsqeth output is:
Device name : eth0
---------------------------------------------
card_type : OSD_100
cdev0 : 0.0.0000
cdev1 : 0.0.0001
cdev2 : 0.0.0002
chpid : 00
online : 1
portno : 0
route4 : no
route6 : no
checksumming : sw checksumming
state : UP (LAN ONLINE)
priority_queueing : always queue 2
fake_ll : 0
fake_broadcast : 0
buffer_count : 16
add_hhlen : 0
layer2 : 0
large_send : no
When I'm trying to install another Linux on the second LPAR, it shows
different OSA addresses (0.0.1000-1001-1002) and network is not
available. In the OSA Card Sharing FAQ on linuxvm.org I found that it
may be caused by the portname option, which is not set according to
lsqeth output. In HMC, the OSA Card I'm using for connection is
labeled as 'Shared'. Did someone meet with a similiar issue? I don't
even know what should I check to find the reason of the problem.
Regards,
Blazej
