Hi Lionel,

I run a local update server and pull the updates down with YUP. We've never
had any of our servers register themselves with Novell (not even sure they
have firewall access even). I know this doesn't really help you in your
current situation, but it might be an option for you in the future.

I'm not sure what suse-register requires, but for pulling down the updates
to the local update server, I had to hit the Novell "Mirror Credentials"
site to get the required username/password: (login required)

https://secure-www.novell.com/center/regadmin/jsps/mirrorcreds_app.jsp

This'll also tell you the URLs you can use to download the patches, either
to your local mirror OR manually via your web browser or wget/curl.
