What i did is, created the printer using IPP (socket) with IBM

file writing just "test" inside. Then i converted the text file to
postscript using paps , the result was same.
The result for Epson FX-1050 was just nothing. The job was seemed
finished succesfully, but there was no action on printer, for both text
and postscript files.
Check the settings on the printer. It's supposed to switch emulations
automatically, but someone may have disabled that feature.
Anything in /var/log/cups for the print job? For the text file, you should
have gotten at least a minimal set of log entries. Also, what happens when
you use the "print test page" button in the WWW interface to CUPS?
Hi David,
i checked the emulation settings on printer, it was IBM proprinter III
XL, i tried with IBM Proprinter driver and get garbage characters. From
both using "lp" command or cups test page.
Then i changed the emulation to Epson on printer, changed the driver the
Epson FX-1050, nothing came out. Printer didn't move.
On the access_log, it shows Print Job succesfully for both Epson And IBM
Proprinter. Also, there is no error in error_log.
Do you have any idea how to use AIX drivers provided by IBM on Linux?
Because it writes that drivers can be used for some Linux also. But no
information or PPD file is provided.
