WAS ships with its own copy of Java, which is platform dependent.  I suppose 
you could install the Intel version on an Intel machine, rsync the /opt/IBM/ 
tree to a Linux on System z instance, and replace the /java directory with a 
symbolic link to the real Java.  Not something I would want to do on a regular 
basis though.
