I'll not only chip in to reinforce comments about Oracle 10G running on RHEL5 (which is how we do it), but to note that when we went from Oracle 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.0.4 we saw big improvements in resource consumption and performance. Apparently minor patch levels can make a big difference. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For more information on Linux on System z, visit http://wiki.linuxvm.org/
