We have moved a share to our Samba guest. But now I have an issue with Office
(2010). When opening files, usually when opening multiple files within a short
period, it often fails with "Network is busy. Try again later". And not only
when opening documents but also the text import in excel suffers from this. A
collegue who uses windowsXP does not have this problem so it looks like it is
related to windows7. Also, I haven't seen this problem on other shares,
including the zOS USS smb share.
I did some search on the web. There are some discussions on connecting to a
samba with a windows 7 system, but we don't have a problem connecting to the
share. As far as the message is concerned I can't find anything related to this
problem.
Any ideas how to solve this? Is there a setting in Samba that would have an
effect in this case?
Server: Suse SLES10 SP2, Samba 3.0.28
Client: Windows 7, Office 2010
The share is mapped using the hostname, the host is added in trusted sites.
