I'm trying to migrate an Openfire Instant Messaging server from the
Distributed environment to a zLinux system. Everything is working great
except for one thing: logging. None of the Openfire logs appear in the
administrative console and my troubleshooting has lead me to believe
it's because of log4j. I can't find any evidence that IBM Java includes
a log4j component (made by Apache). The zLinux guest is SLES 11 SP1 and
I'm using java-1_6_0-ibm-1.6.0_sr9.2-0.4.1. All other functions on the
server work great, and I was about to bring it into production until I
discovered the logs were empty.

Is anyone else running Openfire server on zLinux?
Have you encountered an issue with a missing log4j component? How did
you resolve it?

Thanks in advance,
Dave Keeton
