Hello, I found on www2.marist.edu.post archive LOG0811 the discussion concerning VIPA + OSA + VLAN and finding no
solution to the problem I have decided to bother you instead and for that I apologize. I need to make a configuration similar to the one described in your discussion. My environment is as follows: zVM SUSE 11 guest zLinux OSA QDIO two dedicated VIPA VLAN 428 and VLAN 429 dynamic Routing I have some doubts about defining a VIPA on VLAN (802.1Q). To define a VLAN, we need to define the interface in layer 2 qeth. The documentation carries only examples of VIPA defined in layer 3 (QETH_LAYER2_SUPPORT = '0 ') but to define a VLAN we must define the interface layer 2 (QETH_LAYER2_SUPPORT = '1 '). The question is this: is it possible to define a VIPA interface (dummy0) on two 802.1Q VLAN interfaces? Kindly can you advise or tell me where to find the documentation?
