I know that a number of people maintain their own yum repos, which is a
perfectly valid method.

We went the lazy, but more expensive method of purchasing rhn satellite
and the accompanying required per server management entitlement
(inexpensive per server, but each server needs one).  A properly setup
satellite helps automate much of the repo management tasks, as well as
being a nice kickstartable installation / build source.

Your milage may vary.
