Hello! Okay, I've read the posts that you've created, and naturally I even used your build scripts for both examples of Hercules, one on my main box, and now on my test box. (That's the target I asked about.) What specific choices did the installer present, that made you select NFS? One of the favorites was delivering content via an HTTP (Read an ordinary web server), then NFS, and then even that old time favorite FTP. Also one idea that was being considered was using a SAMBA share. I do know that for SUSE the one that was used when disk images were available, either as ISO images or physical DVDs it was FTP. And for that a Linux on Intel system was normally necessary because the ones for Windows (Yuck!) didn't grok the layout of the images. (The Red Hat users will correct me, if they want, but that sometimes was also used.) Now how do I go about adjusting your excellent PARM file to be more amendable to my particular network? My router is using the typical 192.168.1.xxx.xxx scheme of course, but much closer to the beginning of the list of assignable IP addresses. ----- Gregg C Levine [email protected] "This signature fought the Time Wars, time and again." ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For more information on Linux on System z, visit http://wiki.linuxvm.org/
