I should note that OCFS2 is what is used in the High Availability Extension 
from SUSE.  If you have a current SLES subscription, there is no additional 
cost for HAE.  That will allow you concurrent read-write access (if needed) 
without concerns for data corruption.  It's not hard to set up.  Thanks to 
Richard Lewis of IBM, we (SHARE) have run a couple of hands-on labs for it in 
the last year, and things pretty much Just Worked [tm].
