Hello!
(I was originally going to post this to the list for VM especially
since the books came from the disc collections I have who're all for
the operating system in question but realized that it would get a
better play on the Linux-390 list.)
Here's an odd thought to occupy people for the weekend. I've managed
to install the available book reader program and its attendant shelf
manager program on my Linux system. Said system is running
Slackware-13.37. The only problem after sending the system my
collection of book files was that of configuring the shelf files, they
needed to be in the same directory as the book files were in to enable
the shelf manager to understand where they are. That does not happen
on Windows (Any release).

I suspect the reason why Red Hat was mentioned on the page for it on
the IBM website, is simply because of Red Hat's professional talent in
Linux not because of age......

Which is best discussed elsewhere. (Here or even on any of the lists
who try to discuss the relevant ages of the distributions.)
