Thank you Mark, when I read the release notes/features, I felt the same
it should have been called 2.7.x or something instead. It's good to hear
Marcy's experience and I am now more comfortable on kernel 3.0. of
course I will need to test.

By 'issues' I meant major kernel upgrade and nothing else specifically
yet.

Hopefully you realize that Linux 3.0 is not a major leap from the prior
2.6 kernel.  The developers just decided that constantly changing the
number to include more levels of qualification was getting to be a
hassle.
