My problem is I cannot download to my vmware which runs Windows- no disk
space.

You could download the iso, extract its contents to an usb disk, and run
a lightweight http server (like Xitami, Abyss or MicroApache) or ftp
server (like filezilla) on the Windows box.
This way you could use the HTTP or FTP installation method.

If you already have a Linux running under zVM, you can use WinSCP to
copy the iso file to a Linux, mount it, export as NFS, and use it for
install.
It will be faster than TTP/FTP.
