The procedures to install and configure Linux, which as a manual process can take an hour or more, can be automated and reduced to a matter of minutes, depending on the devices configured for the guest and the speed of disk-to-disk copy operations on the storage system hardware. This project implements the TSAM 7.2.2 for Linux on System z to manage Linux guests on z/VM. It provides a sample installation to guide you through the installation steps and provide sizing suggestions. The results of this project can be used to establish a performance baseline.
