Definitely call CA. We've had similar things with 31 vs. 64 bitness with their tools (specifically Autosys).

Part of it was not understanding the Java > packaging, but now that we know that the agent requirement of "JRE 1.6 > SR8, or higher (31- bit)" Call CA and find out if that's just a doc bug. If it's not a doc bug, it's a code bug; you shouldn't have to have the 31-bit code on a 64-bit guest. I suspect it's the former (somebody didn't update the doc). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For more information on Linux on System z, visit http://wiki.linuxvm.org/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For more information on Linux on System z, visit http://wiki.linuxvm.org/
