Hi All,
First I would like to wish everyone a Happy Holiday. Now just in case you did notice it is the time of year again. Yes SHARE is right around the corner and it is time for a call for "CHAIRS". Below is definition of what is SHARE and the list of sessions. If you would like to chair a session please send me an e - mail with the session id, session name and your e - mail address. SHARE this February is in San Francisco and volunteers are needed. History In 1955, just two years after the release of IBM's first computer, a handful of the earliest IT professionals collaborated to form SHARE. Thus came into being the world's first organization of computing professionals. Over the past five decades, SHARE has become synonymous with high-quality, user-driven education and resources to make enterprise computing specialists more effective professionals. SHARE serves more than 20,000 individuals representing over 2,000 of IBM's top enterprise computing customers. Our constituency includes many of the top international corporations (including the majority of the FORTUNE 500), universities and colleges, municipal through federal government organizations, and industry-leading consultants. While independent, SHARE maintains a close partnership with IBM and its subsidiaries, as well as with leading solution providers to continually strengthen SHARE's benefits for its members. Our Mission To enable people in Information Technology environments to achieve business results. Our Vision We will be an indispensable partner with our members and IBM - the community where users and technology meet to shape the future of Information Technology. The Value of SHARE Membership Participation in SHARE provides the opportunity to build relationships with a diverse community of IT professionals, enhances your professional development, and positions you as a thought leader in the industry Sessions ID Session Day Date Speaker 12315 Linux for Beginners Hands-on Lab Part 1 of 3 Mon 2013-02-04, 09:30:00 Neale Ferguson 12364 Current & Future Features SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for System z Mon 2013-02-04, 09:30:00 Marcus Kraft 12350 Linux for Beginners Hands-on Lab Part 2 of 3 Mon 2013-02-04, 11:00:00 Neale Ferguson 12488 z/VM Platform Update Mon 2013-02-04, 11:00:00 Alan Altmark 12655 Introduction to Managing Mobile Devices using Linux for System z Mon 2013-02-04, 11:00:00 Bruce Armstrong 12351 Linux for Beginners Hands-on Lab Part 3 of 3 Mon 2013-02-04, 12:15:00 Neale Ferguson 12459 Automation Scenarios for a z/VM Cluster and Linux on System z Guests Mon 2013-02-04, 13:30:00 Tracy Dean 12462 Configuration and Use of z/VM Dirmaint and SMAPI Mon 2013-02-04, 13:30:00 Rich Smrcina 12923 Two Years with z/VM and Linux on System z Mon 2013-02-04, 13:30:00 Richard S.
