Depends on how well written your Java apps are. If they stick fairly close to 
the published specs, it shouldn't be a problem. If they broke the rules and 
call some of the Sun-specific stuff in the Sun/Oracle package, Bad Things 
Happen. IBM does take bug reports on it, and usually can find a way to support 
specific kinds of stupidity from applications, but there are a few commercial 
software companies out there that need to take a few programmers out behind the 
woodshed. 

Also, if it's needed to support a commercial app, they may not have tested with 
the IBM JDK, and thus refuse to support you. Most of the commercial apps that 
use Java heavily have never even heard of the IBM JVM/SDK, let alone tested it.
