The CFP for SHARE 123 in Pittsburgh, PA is open now. For this particular conference we are dealing with a very tight deadline for submissions.
The official deadline is Friday, April 18, 2014, but if you wait until then, the odds of having your session accepted are very low. The conference itself is scheduled from Sunday, August 3, 2014 to Friday, August 8, 2014. As always, we're looking for customer experience talks on anything dealing with Linux, z/VM, or virtualization in general. Everything from "this is what we're doing at my shop" to the most detailed low-level technical things imaginable. Your topic doesn't even have to be a full hour long. If we get multiple submissions for shorter talks, we can combine them as needed. If you're not a customer, but work for a vendor or ISV, talks about technical subjects are also welcome, but they need to be more than just product pitches. One thing to keep in mind is that if you do speak, you get a discounted registration rate for the entire week. If you only attend for the day you speak, there is no registration fee at all. Either way, we would love to hear from anyone out there who's working with these technologies day to day. You might not think what you're doing is remarkable, but to someone else who's just getting started (and there are still _lots_ of them), the information you provide could be just what they need.
