On a side note, the sles11.3 iso DVD2 > download will not fit on a DVD! I did not check, but you normally can give autoyast special parameters on the kernel command line. More details are given in https://www.suse.com/documentation/sles11/singlehtml/book_autoyast/book_autoyast.html#appendix.linuxrc especially the parameter "y2confirm" looks interesting to me in that case. Supposing that this is a z/VM installation, you might want to setup an IUCV console and connect to it from a different linux guest. Add "console=iucv0 TERM=vt220" to the kernel command line, and then run iucvconn <guestname> lnxhvc0 from a different linux guest on the same z/VM (permissions must be set to allow the IUCV console of course). That way you might have a chance to look at the system and check whats happening. Note, that there is an issue in the GM version of SLES11 SP3 that disconnects the iucv console after entering the username. Just reconnect and enter the password (or do an update on the guest) to get access. Berthold > >>> <[email protected]> wrote: > > Is there a way to break out of autoyast?
