Hi,
maybe that you already know this zVM cmd : "CP Q USERID"
It provides "virtual_machine_name" where you are logged on "AT"
zVM_sysname .
>From a zLinux you can launch this cmd and receive this info:
lxmodcd:~ # vmcp q userid
LXMODCD AT ITAVMLX1
Where in this case LXMODCD is the zVM virtual machine where is running
this zLinux O.S. and ITAVMLX1 is the zVM system id.
The only problem could be that you have to execute the cmd "vmcp" from
"root" or via "sudo"
