If you were unable to attend the 2014 VM Workshop, or did attend but have not yet checked for online presentation materials, all presentation materials submitted by speakers are now posted at: http://www.vmworkshop.org/2014/presentations
My two year term (sentence?) as Chairman of the VM Workshop has expired. It has been a terrific experience and privilege to work with such an exceptional and motivated group of volunteers, speakers, and sponsors. This triad has raised the VM Workshop, only 4 years after being reanimated, to be the world's largest conference dedicated solely to z/VM and 'Linux on System z'. The 2014 VM Workshop hosted at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC had more than 115 attendees. In a show of support for NC A&T's strong mainframe curriculum, ten NC A&T students were in attendance, providing a shining beacon of encouragement for continued support and growth of z/VM and 'Linux on System z'. Under the leadership of Eric Schuler-Dalverny of IBI (Information Builders. Inc.) as Chairman for the next two years, expect further improvements and growth next year at the 2015 VM Workshop (sites for which are under consideration and review).
