Hi, I'm not 100% sure, but I think when you run up2date for example, it just adds all available patches and you end up with that latest level. I think we have done some jump over more than one release without any problems. Take a copy of your disks via z/VM, just to be sure have a restore plan.

But I couldn't find any detail on supported version for this upgrade. https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/pdf/6.5_Release_Notes/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux-6-6.5_Release_Notes-en-US.pdf I have two option for this upgrade, 1) Moving from RHEL 6.3 to RHEL 6.4 and then RHEL 6.4 to RHEL 6.5 2) Directly upgrading RHEL 6.4 to RHEL 6.5. But I am not finding any document confirming upgrade from RHEL 6.3 to RHEL 6.5 directly without any issue. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For more information on Linux on System z, visit http://wiki.linuxvm.org/
