I have Sles 11 installed on a Hercules 3390.cckd. It IPL's from "bare" hercules and runs.
But when IPL'd in a z/vm 5.3 VM, after displaying the initial menu : "zIPL v1.15.0-0.136.13 interactive boot menu" .. it goes into disabled wait state 1124EC. Is that wait state related to CP msg 1124 ? (HCP1124I An allocation map containing invalid data was found on DASDrdev, volume volid; the device is not attached) The dasd (140) is DEDICATED to the VM (Linux).
